MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME since its informal organization two years ago, the Dartmouth Club of Tucson staged a dinner session at the Studio Patio in Tucson on Thursday evening, February 25th, and made it in the nature of a reunion for the families of the alumni living or wintering in the vicinity. About twenty-five were present.

By unanimous vote, it was decided that the club should take on more permanent form, and the officers who were elected were entrusted with the responsibility of seeing that this is realized. The Rev. George Ferguson Jr. '2l was elected president; John T. Croly '32; secretary-treasurer and C. G. Milham 'O6, chairman of the Hospitality Committee.

There were brief talks by Messrs. Ferguson, Bob Davis '03, Robert Fish '18, Capt. Bob Sparks '29, Lieut. Joe Hancort '30 and Charles L. Phillips '18, the Club's president two years ago. Capt. Sparks is stationed at Davis-Monthan Field, the Army air base in Tucson, while Lieut. Hancort is an instructor at the Basic Training School for Flyers at Marana, about thirty miles west of Tucson.

Besides those already named, those present included Laurence W. Griswold 'OB, Mrs. Griswold and their son, David; Frederick G. Fellowes '20 and Mrs. Fellowes; John Harlow '28 and Mrs. Harlow; James H. Doehler '33; Mrs. Davis and Bob's three attractive daughters, Joy, Noel and Betty, all of whom are students at the University of Arizona; Mrs. Robert Fish; Mrs. Charles L. Phillips; Mrs. Bob Sparks; Mrs. Joseph Hancort; Mrs. C. G. Milham; Mrs. George Ferguson Jr.

Interestingly enough, the restaurant at which the meeting was held is operated by Miss Inez Webster, a sister of Joe Webster '14.

Nearly all of the group attended the service at the Episcopal Church of St. Philip's-in-theHills on the Sunday morning following the dinner. It was, in many respects, a Dartmouth service, with the Rev. George Ferguson, the rector of the church, officiating; with Milham '06, licensed as a lay reader in the Diocese of Southern Virginia, reading the lessons; and with the Rev. Dr. Robert Davis preaching the sermon, through the especial invitation of the rector. St. Philip's-in-the-Hills has been built up in a few short years by George Ferguson to rank as one of the notable churches in Arizona, despite an illness that prevented any activity on his part for fifteen months and from which he recovered only last fall. In addition to his work as a minister, this Tucson member of the class of '21 owns and operates one of the best-known fruit ranches in Arizona, the Hacienda del Bosquito.

Their classmates will probably be glad to know that Larry Griswold, "Ted" Fellowes and Jim Doehler have all made splendid progress in recovering from the illnesses that brought them to Tucson.
