How do high school or college students apply for admission to the V-12 Navy Training Program?
Applicants, 17-19 years old, should secure full information from their nearest Navy Procurement headquarters, located in the principal cities of the country, or information is available through school principals and college officers. Success in competitive examinations and meeting high physical standards are major requirements of the admission process. Quotas by states in Naval Districts have to date been low. The standards are high. Enlisted men from the fleet, ages 17 through 22, are also eligible for V-12.
May accepted V-12 applicants express preference for the college at which they willbe trained?
The Navy permits preferences to be expressed but geographical and other limitations will not permit all choices of colleges to be granted.
