Will there be an entering civilian class of1947 and civilians in upper classes?
Yes, Dean Strong predicts a sizeable enrollment of civilian students under 18, not enlisted in the Army or Navy Training Program, and otherwise not subject to military service. Undergraduates deferred as science majors, or doing other essential work in war preparation, plus physically disqualified students, will form a nucleus of civilian students in each class in college.
Will civilian students attend classes withNavy students?
There is no objection on the part of the Navy to having civilian students assigned to class sections with Navy students.
