J OHN CHENEY '30 PACED a Dartmouth golf contingent with a snappy 79 at Erie Downs Country Club in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, oh August 10 when the alumni groups of Dartmouth, Cornell, Michigan and Pennsylvania inaugurated what is hoped will become an annual alumni intercollegiate golf tournament.

The Dartmouth group, comprised of Hugh Johnson '3O, Carl Wicker 'l4, Paul Venneman '26, Zack Taylor 'l9, Selwyn Mack '2O, Horace Taylor '23, Osgood Siegfried '23, and Dick Burlingame '26 finished in second place. Michigan won the team championship with Cornell third and Pennsylvania fourth.

H. Carleton White '23, President of the Dartmouth Club of Western New York, ably assisted representatives of the other three schools in arranging the tournament and the banquet program following the afternoon matches.
