A NEW COURSE IN philosophy and two new courses in religion have been approved by the Committee on Educational Policy and are announced by the Division of the Humanities for the coming November term.

The new philosophy course, designed for freshmen, sophomores and members of the V-12 Unit, is Philosophy 1-2, "The Modern Mind and Its Heritage," to be taught by Prof. T. S. K. Scott-Craig, young Scottish philosopher who joins the Dartmouth faculty in November. A new basic course in Religion, offered by Prof. EarL Cranston '16, is entitled "The Foundations, History and Literature of the Christian Tradition" and is intended primarily for sophomores but is open also to members of the two higher classes, civilian and V-12. The third new offering next term is Dr. Cranston's seminar on "Classics of Christian Experience," open to sophomores, juniors and seniors.
