SPECIAL ORDERS NO. 1

Extract 1. Effective 1720 (5:20 p.m.), this date, the following-named recruit is ordered to active duty and is assigned to the family of Lieutenant and Mrs. Robert M. Prentice:

Upon completion of an orientation course at this hospital, on or about 28 October 1944, the above-named officer will proceed to 128 Marine Avenue, Brooklyn, N. Y., where he will assume command of the entire household for the duration.

The prescribed uniform for the aboven amed officer will consist primarily of the diaper, cotton, white, Model 1944, together with such other garments as shall be deemed proper by his mother.

Rations and quarters will be furnished in accordance with existing regulations and the Table of Allowances. Rations will be made available at frequent intervals and the mess hall will be placed on 24-duty until further notice. George Santoro, Major, MG, Attending
