IN THIS ISSUE honoring the 175th anniversary of Dartmouth's founding, there is added to today's" news of the College and its alumni a panoramic survey of the background against which the institution grew and excerpts from the Charter on which it was founded.
The new and extended religious program which carries forward to a new generation a tradition of the teaching and application of religion established in the College by its founder, Eleazar Wheelock, is described by Professor Earl Cranston in the third feature article.
