PRESIDENT HOPKINS HAS been elected to the Board of Directors of the newly formed Encyclopedia Britannica Films, Inc., formerly known as the Erpi Classroom Films, and also to the Board of Directors of the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company.

The Directors of the educational film company include President Robert M. Hutchins of Chicago University, Henry R. Luce, Editor of Time and Life, Marshall Field, M. Lincoln Schuster, of Simon and Schuster, Harry Scherman, president of the Book of the Month Club, and Beardsley Ruml '15, treasurer of R. H. Macy Co. They will make studies and plans to extend the educational scope, and types, of visual instruction.

As a Director of New England Telephone and Telegraph Company, Mr. Hopkins renews an association which he had with the company in its personnel department just prior to his becoming president of Dartmouth in 1916.

Other directorships now held by Mr. Hopkins are in the Boston and Maine Railroad, since 1920; the National Life Insurance Company of Montpelier, Vermont, since 1933; and the Continental Can Company, since 1943.
