DR. TREVOR LLOYD, professor of geography at Dartmouth, was signally honored by being invited to address the American Geographical Society in New York on February 15, on the subject of "Transportation and the Canol Project."

Professor Lloyd has made a special study of the Mackenzie River territory in northwestern Canada and in 1942 observed some of the work on the Canol Project near Fort Norman. While in New York, he did additional research at the Arctic Information Center of the Army Air Corps and in the personal arctic library of Vladimir Stefansson. During the between-terms recess he also made a flying visit to Labrador for more study.
