ON THE OCCASION OF THE VISIT to the city of Richard P. White '18, president of the Washington, D. C. Alumni Association—the following men gathered for lunch at the Des Moines Club recently:

Dr. Lee Forrest Hill '17, President of the lowa Alumni, C. L. Wanamaker 'l5, John Murphy 'l9, Lloyd '■Sam" Sammis '28, Ralph A. Church '28, Francis A. Robinson '08.

Wanamaker, Murphy and Sammis are executives of the U. S. Rubber Company stationed at the Des Moines Ordnance Plant which they are operating.

During the luncheon Lt. George C. Carpenter '18 of the Navy dropped in on his way to the west coast. He was with his business partn er Chas. W. Dau, father of Lt. Wm. Dau '41 who is an Army flyer in Kiska.

We are hoping that more Dartmouth men will make themselves known when in Des Moines so that we may have occasion for similar pleasant "get-togethers."
