Cowles Returns

Last-minute, and good, news for this issue is that Ossie Cowles, coach of the Dartmouth basketball team, who has been on leave to serve with the Naval Reserve, has received his honorable discharge from service and will resume coaching duties on January i. As Lieutenant in the Naval Reserve, Coach Cowles served with the Navy's Aviation Flight Selection Board in New York, as commanding officer of the Navy V-5 group at Union College, and most recently at a station in Dallas, Texas.

Another late flash: Yale defeated Dartmouth, 45-42, in the Boston Garden battle of December 23.
