DARTMOUTH COLLEGE CLUB 37 East 39th Street

NEW OFFICERS of the Dartmouth College Club assumed their duties September 1. John Moore '23 succeeded W. C. Batchelder '19 as president and Harry Mills '24 replaced G. K. Rose Jr. '15 as vice president. Latta McCray '37 and Roy Milliken '28, respectively, continue as secretary and treasurer.

Charlie McGoughran '20 and Don McCall '27 became members of the club's Board of Governors at the same time. At the next meeting of the board action will be taken to name a successor to Jack Reeder '25 who has resigned.

Reeder, long active in club affairs and its membership committee chairman, became on October 1 vice president and general manager, as well as a director, of Walt Disney Productions, Burbank, Calif.

Scheduled during October are several class dinners, most of them with dates still unsettled. Interest centers around 1929's when its members are planning to honor John Sloan Dickey '29, president-elect of the College on Friday, October 19.

Dr. E. L. Stebbins '26, New York City Health commissioner, will be guest speaker at a club open house on October 26. Dinners are slated that evening for his class, 1926, and the Dartmouth Medical School.

The club bar has been redecorated. The woodwork and walls have been lightened in color, new indirect fixtures installed and mirrors placed behind the bar, ultimately to reflect the Hanover murals on the opposite wall. These have not as yet been placed but, never theless, a majority of observers consider the changes to be an improvement.
