GEORGE C. "SPUD" BRAY, College inspector, retired in July after a quarter century of service at Dartmouth. He intends to farm an eleven-acre homestead he has bought at White River.
'Spud" came to Dartmouth in 1920 as janitor of Topliff Hall and shortly thereafter was appointed head janitor of the College. For some years before his retirement, he held the position of inspector, a post to which he was promoted in recognition of his understanding relationship with the student body and his tact in keeping them out of difficulties.
