FEATURED IN THIS month's issue are the story of President Hopkins' resignation as head of Dartmouth and a resume of the notable career of John Sloan Dickey '29, whom the Trustees have elected to succeed to the presidency of the College. The MAGAZINE also presents a pictorial survey of some of the highlights of President Hopkins' administration from 1916 to 1945, and a number of tributes to the College's retiring head from his colleagues in the academic world.
A greeting from President-elect Dickey to Dartmouth men is printed this month, and in place of its regular class notes the Class of 1929 tells fellow alumni what an excellent choice the Trustees have made in Dartmouth's new leader.
