A Dartmouth homecoming that brought together Dartmouth people from Bombay, Tokyo, Washington and New York was celebrated recently in the Embassy Room of the New York Statler.
The Dartmouth man from Bombay was Lt. John Rust "Brue" Potter '38 who had arrived home in New York from the Indian city after seven continuous days and nights of flying. His wife, Ann, daughter of President Hopkins of Dartmouth, was with him together with Major John Hubbell '21, Army Signal Corps, New York City, and Dartmouth Alumni Council member. The group was joined later in the evening by Colonel Jim Seaver '38 who had just arrived in the States from Tokyo as weatherman in the lead plane of the non-stop Tokyo-Chicago flight. He flew with General Giles.
