JOHN BLAIR WATSON, JR., of Hartford, Conn., a war veteran of three and half years' service, has been named Director of Dartmouth College Films as of November 1. He succeeds Prof. Chauncey N. Allen '24, of the Psychology Department, who was carrying on the work as a wartime assignment in addition to his regular duties.
Mr. Watson held the rank of captain in the Army Air Forces before his honorable discharge in September and had served as a pilot of fighter-bomber aircraft in North Africa, Italy and Corsica. He was a member of the 12 th Air Force and had completed 97 missions.
A graduate of the University of New Hampshire in 1943, he has been connected with the university's visual education program. At Dartmouth he will assist in film production and direct the use of classroom films in the College's established program of audio-visual education.
