Hofer Gives Prints

PHILIP HOFER, visiting lecturer at Dartmouth and curator of the Department of Printing and Graphic Arts at Harvard, has presented the Carpenter Art Galleries with eight very fine prints from his own famous collection. Five of them are works by Blake and Daumier: the Blake master- pieces being engravings belonging to the series of illustrations for Dante on which he was working at the time of his death, and the Daumier, being three lithographs, two political satires and one from his bonsbourgeois series.
