The campus had a good chuckle last month over a display of books arranged by Baker Library for the special benefit of the Marine Corps detachment of the V-12 Unit. The display included books on the history, traditions and exploits of the Marine Corps, but promptly and out of nowhere there appeared prominently a copy of Wolves of NorthAmerica.
The Marines say it was the handiwork of some "deck-swabbing sailor," while the bluejackets have their own opinion that it was the work of "just another prestige-seeking gyrene." Whoever the wit was, the campus was grateful for a good laugh.
