AN INFORMAL MEETING with food served buffet style was held at Len Dunn's home on the evening of Jan. 8 with Prof. Allen Foley '20 as the guest of the occasion. He gave us a most welcome touch from Hanover along with good humor and some interesting sub- jects for discussion. Major John H. Grindlay, war-famous army surgeon who spent two and a half years as second-in-command to Lt. Col. Gordon S. Seagraves during General Stilwell's march to India, and who is now stationed at McGuire's General Hospital here, was an- other distinguished guest of the evening.

Paul Gibson 'l5 has been editorialized re- cently for his time and effort spent on the World War II Memorial just dedicated in Richmond at Monroe Park. "He was the dynamo of the whole enterprise in American Legion Post No. 1 and when the plan was approved, he was ready to do the heavy work," one editorial states. "The reward of his pa- tient and intelligent labor is a roll of honor which scarcely could have been compiled at a later time."

The family of Lt. William Cabell Jr. '43 have been notified that he is dead. He had been reported missing in the South Pacific a year ago but all had held hopes that he might show up in the meantime.,

Plans for the annual meeting of the association are now under way with the date to be set the latter part of May.

Luncheons still continue the first Tuesday of each month at Hotel John Marshall Coffee Shop.
