FOLLOWING THE MEETING of the Board of Trustees in Hanover last month President Dickey announced plans for holding Dartmouth's first full-fledged Commencement program since the class of 1942 graduated in May four years ago. On the week end of June 28 graduation exercises will be held for an estimated 200 or more civilian and Navy seniors. Families and guests of graduates will be invited to attend and other traditional events of the Commence- ment season may be arranged by the class officers and the College.
The regular Committee on Commencement will again function to work out the week-end program with the seniors. The committee consists of the Secretary of the College, Sidney C. Hayward; Dean Lloyd K. Neidlinger; and the Senior Class Officer, Prof. John B. Stearns. In addition to Commencement activities the week end of June 27-28-29 is announced as the date for reunions of several classes to include the fifty-year and older class groups, and also the 25th anniversary celebrations of the classes of 1918, 1919, 1920, and 1921.
