New Associate Editor

The editors of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE take great pleasure in announcing the addition to the staff of John Hurd '21, Professor of English, who, with this issue, assumes the position of Associate Editor. He will assist with general editorial policy and with the scheduling and preparation of major articles and features.

Mr. Hurd has contributed a number of articles and reviews to the MAGAZINE and shortly after his graduation from Dartmouth was desk editor and reporter for The Boston Globe. He received an M.A. degree from Harvard in 1924, a B.A. degree, with honors, from Oxford in 1927, and an M.A. from Oxford in 1934. He resumed his teaching duties at Dartmouth last November after serving for nearly three years in the Naval Reserve, in which he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
