Donald E. Cobleigh '23, Assistant Professor of Music, who for 13 years served as Director of the Dartmouth Glee Club, resigned his faculty position at the end of last semester. As his successor, Paul R. Zeller, director of high school and community choruses in East Aurora, N. Y., has been named Director of the Glee Club and Instructor in Music.

Professor Cobleigh had been a member of the faculty since 1925 and an Assistant Professor since 1935. In 1934 he succeeded Prof. Homer P. Whitford as Glee Club director and guided the Dartmouth singers to an excellence that was nationally recognized. During the war he served with the U. S. Marines as Chaplain's Assistant and then with the O.S.S. He returned to his teaching and Glee Club duties in July 1945.

Mr. Zeller has for several years been music teacher and director of the mixed chorus at East Aurora High School. Among community activities, he has been choir director of St. Matthias Episcopal Church, director of the East Aurora Choral Club, director of the East Aurora Chorale, and member and chorus director of the East Aurora chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America. He received his B.S. in music from the Mansfield State Teachers College in Pennsylvania in 1935, and in 1939 took his Master's degree in music at the University of Michigan.
