FORTY-FIVE STATES, the District of Columbia, Hawaii and 17 foreign countries are represented in the Dartmouth student body, according to statistics compiled for the 1947-48 College Directory and published last month. Idaho, Mississippi and South Dakota are the only states not represented on the Dartmouth campus.
Massachusetts leads the list with 625 out of a total College enrollment of 3,001, the largest in Dartmouth's history. New York ranks second with 612, followed by New Jersey with 278, Connecticut with 222, and New Hampshire with 192.
Canada with six has the most students of the 17 foreign countries represented, followed by China, Cuba and Norway with four each. Classes in the present student body range from 1941 to 1951.
