Million to Hospital
December 1947

THE MARY HITCHCOCK HOSPITAL in Hanover opened an expansion fund appeal on November 6 with the announcement that one million dollars of its minimum goal of two million will be turned over to the hospital by Mrs. Edward Daniels Faulkner of Woodstock, Vt., a generous benefactor to the institution for many years.

The fund appeal, under the general chairmanship of Archie B. Gile '17, aims to provide for a new building with beds for 150 patients; x-ray, laboratory and operating facilities; and administrative and consulting offices. Plans also call for new nurses' homes and a new educational building for the hospital's medical and nursing training programs.
