If you are planning a trip to Cuba, pick up a copy of this remarkable Sidney Clark Travel Book. If you plan to fly or sail from our eastern seaboard, all the necessary information is here at your fingertips—passports, ticket costs, etc. In a readable and informative style, the author summarizes Cuba's history, points out the best hotels, advises specific trips, mentions outstanding landmarks to be seen, goes fishing, passes an evening in a sidewalk cafe, and sips free drinks and admires the pretty girls in the Bicardi Gardens on a Sunday morning. He offers frank advice for tourists travelling on a limited budget and quotes, post-war prices.

Too often, Mr. Clark points out, American tourists tend to adopt a condescending attitude toward our neighbor to the south. These tourists do not know the real Cuba because they can never partake of the gracious hospitality of these friendly but proud people. The "gay sombrero" is not necessary, but if one treats the Cuban with due respect, an invitation to a delightful feast at the home of, perhaps, your taxi driver, and all manner of assistance from perfect strangers is not surprising. This, the author maintains, is Cuba rather than the ballyhooed Sloppy Joe's and places of this sort which are so avidly patronized by the average "guide book tourist."

As it should be, most of the book is devoted to the city of Havana, but Santiago, the Isle of Pines, Camaguey, Santa Clara and other important cities are not neglected. Sidney Clark enjoyed Cuba and describes what he enjoyed. If you visit this remarkable country, "All The Best In Cuba" will do much to make your visit a memorable one.
