PREPARATIONS for our annual Ladies' Night are progressing fine at this writing. We are making plans for a large attendance and expect to greatly enjoy another of our several yearly functions.

It's going to be held on February 19—our regular meeting night—at club headquarters on North Charles Street. Incidentally, we decided to switch our meeting nights from Thursday to Wednesday to accommodate several alumni who for various reasons can't make it on a Thursday.

At last, we have managed to procure a banner for our club. Lyman Whittaker '42, a newcomer to our ranks, announced at the January meeting that he had one left over from Dartmouth days and would be glad to loan it to the club.

Winston Taft '39, club treasurer, has moved to Boston where he has a better job. We were all sorry to see him go. He left rather suddenly and we didn't have a chance to say good-bye and good luck individually, so I'll take this opportunity to say it collectively for all of us.

We elected Ed Pierce 41, to take his place as treasurer.

Since the two men in District V are eligible for reelection this year to their positions on the Alumni Council for two more years, we voted not to submit any nominations this year. Both Frederick L. Pearce '15 of Washington, D. C., and William H. Marsh Jr., '31 of Atlanta, we feel, have filled their positions satis factorily during the past two years and are entitled to another term.

The club certainly regretted having to turn down an offer by the Dartmouth College Glee Club to appear in Baltimore for a concert during the first week in April. As much as we would like to have them come, we just haven't reached the stature since the war that we're aiming at in order to be able to put over an affair of that sort.
