Another month closer to Reunion . . . mark the weekend of June 18-20 on your calendar toay (if you haven't already).
A highly-placed source reports that PeterPhillips is in his final term at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Last summer Peter was in Milford, N.H., with the American Stage Festival. He played leading roles in Show Boat, The Petrified Forest, and The Devil's Disciple - as well as directing YouCan't Take It With You. Our source reports that Peter's acting received rave reviews from several Boston dailies.
A letter from Louise Bedichek, an exchange student from Wellesley during 1972 now in Firenze, Italy, points out this column's lack of attention to Pilobolus Dance Theatre. To correct our omission: Jonathan Walken is one. quarter of the original troupe, one-sixth of the present. (The other members, Dartmouth people all: Moses Pendleton, Michael Tracy, Rob. by Barnett, Martha Clarke and Alison Chase) Pilobolus, which could be seen for free on campus in 1972, was performing at the Plaza Concorde in Paris when Louise last saw them; a year ago they were in New York, with many stops between. If you haven't heard about them yet you will.
Evidently we barely scratched the surface last month when mentioning new M.D.s. Bill Powers, Bob Burke and Roger Faix have all graduated from Cornell Med School in Broke City and moved on to internships. Roger is at the University of Michigan Hospitals, Bob at Case-Western Reserve and Bill is reported to be working very hard at Duke. Bob Rogers, Pete Howard, and Jack Dickard, all graduates of McGill Med School, can be found at Albany Medical Center , Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Coopers-Town and St. Mary's in Montreal, respectively.
To complete our tour of the U.S.A. (Bicentennial year and all that) we can report that Bruce Ferguson is living in Pittsburgh and is head of the planning department at the Washington Center for Design in Washington, Pennsylvania. John Short, refusing to leave the sunshine, is in his first year at the The American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale.
That's about all, except that I want to mention that Elizabeth Arthur Morgan has been with us for about three months now and I have yet to receive a cigar from Rod Morgan (or Pam).
Blessings.
