Indians Enjoy a Successful Month, Highlighted by Victories of Hockey and Swimming Teams and Carnival Clean Sweep
Carnival is just over and the Green made a clean sweep across the board. Dartmouth won the Carnival itself, with a decisive margin over second-place Midcllebury. Coach Jeremiah's charges continued their winning ways by beating out a fighting Harvard sextet, 7-5, thereby maintaining their undefeated status in League competition. Coach Karl Michael's swimmers won their most gaudy triumph to date by beating Princeton, 43-33, and thus kept their place at the top of the League. Even the basketball team, which has won a good many less than it has lost this year, came through with a rousing 53-50 victory over Yale, thereby managing to keep out of the Ivy League cellar, a position to which they are far from accustomed. Details of these encounters follow.
