YALE OUTPLAYS INDIANS

Yale outplayed the Indians in the Bowl the following week-end, and earned a 7-2 victory by virtue of an irresistible touchdown march in the first period and a desperate but effective defense in the second half. In the light of Yale's subsequent defeat of Princeton, the Big Green showing was made to look pretty good.

After the Blue team had held the upper hand in the first half of the game, Dartmouth's superior manpower began to tell, and only a brainstorm ended what seemed to be a certain touchdown march for the Green. Yale's touchdown in the first period came as the result of an 87-yard advance straight through the Dartmouth line. The Bulldog onslaught was relentless, and despite a setback near the Green goal line, it made up for its loss in one quick swoop and carried across the line for the only touchdown of the day. Dartmouth continued to be on the defensive in the second quarter, but now refused to allow a repetition of the Bulldogs' steady march.
