THE ANNUAL MEETING of the Dartmouth Club of Central New York was held at the University Club of Syracuse on Tuesday evening, April 1, 1947. A record crowd of 44 gathered for the ever popular cocktail hour and then sat down to the usual delicious U. Club dinner. The business of the evening was rapidly taken care of—consisting of the Treasurer's report and a few remarks by FredSmith concerning the Dartmouth-sponsored Ivy League Clambake which will take place in June.

The highlight of the evening was an informal talk by Herb Hill, professor of History and Director of the popular Hanover Holiday, who certainly lived up-to his introduction as one of Hanover's most able raconteurs. Interspersing humorous stories about the latest escapades of "Fletch" along with a report on the proposed Hopkins Memorial, future plans for the Library and many more subjects dear to the hearts of Dartmouth men, Herb painted the Hanover Scene in a most amusing and highly satisfactory manner. Immediately following his remarks we saw the new sound movie, "Green Flashbacks," which was thoro ughly enjoyed by all. Most of the gang then retired to the bar for a few drinks and an informal bull session with Professor Hill. We would like to take this opportunity to say that if any of you are not able to attend future dinner meetings for any reason you are welcome to drop in after dinner and join the gang for the evening's entertainment.

All due credit should be given to John Osborne and Joe Roberts who drove 75 miles from Watkins Glen to attend the meeting. Those present were:
