JOHN FRANCIS CONNERS, 1914
To an agent whose personal efforts have to an unusual degree been responsible for the fine showing of his class, whose obvious sincerity and devotion to Dartmouth have found an answering echo among his classmates sufficient to revitalize all their activities, whose conduct of his class newsletter has made it an example to others, whose record as class agent has produced in two short years the first Green Derby won by his class, the greatest number of contributors in the history of the class, and the highest Participation Index among all classes after 1901, the fifth largest dollar gift among all classes, and the highest dollar total for classes of the same size, a total which was exactly double the highest gift the class had made under the leadership of his predecessors; in recognition of those accomplishments by the class through his leadership, and with full understanding of the services thereby rendered to Dartmouth, the Alumni Fund Committee awards the James B. Reynolds Trophy for all-around Alumni Fund achievement for classes more than twenty years out of College to JOHN FRANCIS CONNERS of the Class of 1914, and gives him a copy of the famous Ticknor print of the early Dartmouth campus as his own permanent possession.
