ON APRIL 3 the Detroit Alumni Club was host to a gathering of more than 400 alumni and friends when the Glee Club visited Detroit on its spring tour and presented a most enjoyable concert. The attendance equalled the highest hopes of the Concert Committee under the chairmanship of Jim Bear '19 ably assisted by Bill Bachman Jr. '39, Chuck Bennett Jr. '43, Dick Bugbee '43, and Dave Campbell '36. The final balance of debits and credits is expected to show a sizeable sum for us to add to scholarship funds already deposited by the club with the college.

Although summer vacations cut into the number of available alumni, the Detroit Club will remain active. Plans are being formulated for our annual golf tournament as well as a sailboat cruise on the Detroit River and a possible family picnic. Whenever you're in town be sure, to have lunch with us every Monday noon at the Olde Wayne Club.

Club members were sorry to hear of DickBugbee's transfer out of Detroit where he was very active in our activities. We wish him the best of luck in his new position in Davenport, lowa.
