APPOINTMENT OF three Dartmouth professors to serve as Divisional Chairmen for the next four years and of 29 others to serve as Departmental Chairmen for two-year periods was recently announced by President Dickey. All appointments will be effective as of July 1.
Francis Lane Childs '06, Winkley Professor of the Anglo-Saxon and English Language and Literature, will be chairman of the Division of the Humanities; Robert Addison McKennan '25, Professor of Sociology, will head the Division of the Social Sciences; and Roy Philip Forster, Assistant Professor of Zoology, will be chairman of the Division of Sciences.
