1922 Gives Record Memorial Fund
July 1947

As THE TOP FEATURE of its 25th Reunion over commencement weekend, June . 13-15, the Class of 1922 at its banquet presented the College with a Memorial Fund Gift of $29,000, setting a new high mark for this growing class activity. The presentation was made to President Dickey by Wilbur W. Bullen, 1922 Class Memorial Fund chairman, who reported that when all returns are in, the fund will go beyond the round sum of $29,000 announced at the reunion dinner. The record smashed by 1922 was only one year old and was set last year by 1921's gift of $26,217.

In directing 1922 to its superlative result, Chairman Bullen had the special help of the three other members of the Memorial Fund committee: Leroy F. Ball, Francis H. Horan and Eugene Hotchkiss. In its final stages, the 1922 campaign was integrated with this year's Alumni Fund effort, directed for the class by Stanley P. Miner, who promises to come through again with a strong showing despite the large sum given to the Class Memorial Fund.

AT THE 1922 REUNION BANQUET, Wilbur W. Bullen, Class Memorial Fund chairman, hands a check for $29,000 to President Dickey, who wears a 1922 reunion tie for the special occasion.
