SATURDAY AFTERNOON, May 24, was the date chosen for our Annual Dinner meeting and the weather man was extremely helpful again. We met at the home of Dr. DouglasVanderHoof '01 in Richmond.
Forty-nine men were in attendance and a goodly portion of those assembled took advantage of the balmy day for a swim in the pool—while others took part in horse-shoes and croquet.
The Washington Quartet led by ChuckGrant '39 enticed the fellows into dinner about 6:3o—and what a delicious spread it was!
The main meeting began about 8:00 p.m. with our great speaker, Prof, Robert K. Carr '29 interesting us with his highlights of Hanover, with a question period allowed afterwards.
We agree with President Dickey that the foursome led by Chuck Grant is tops—and they closed the meeting with many familiar selections rendered extremely efficiently.
At a short business session, Len Dunn '27 was elected president for the coming year, with Bill King '33 vice-president and Chick Thompson '36 to carry on as secretary-treasurer.
