THE DARTMOUTH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF WEST FLORIDA has had successful monthly luncheons in January and February, and on March 2 the annual dinner was held at the Concord Hotel, St. Petersburg.
At the monthly luncheons about twenty enthusiastic alumni gathered, and at the annual meeting and dinner a total of fifty-two were present, including guests. At the dinner William P. Kelly '86 asked the blessing, and after a bountiful repast President Atwood '05 asked Henry Austin '85 to present the speak- ers, which he did in his usual pleasing and amusing manner.
Dr. Fred P. Lord '98, well-known to all Dartmouth men of the last more than fifty years, gave us a great talk on the wonderful advantages which the students now at Dart- mouth have over the students of his early , days in Hanover, due to the facilities presented by Dick's House, The Hitchcock Memorial, the Clinic connected with the Dartmouth Medical College and other modern resources.
Roy W. Hatch '02 pleased us greatly with his reminiscence of Dartmouth, and with his inspiring talk on "The Dartmouth Spirit."
Space does not permit all that might be said of these two talks, but everyone present agreed that we could not have had two better speakers.
The committee in charge was Willard G. Aborn '93, Edward C. Holmes '30 and Morgan W. Savage '33.
At the business meeting following the din- ner, the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: president, Howard D. Atwood '05; vice-president, Morgan W. Savage '33; treasurer, Edward C. Holmes '30; and secretary, Carroll E. Hill '20, 635 First Ave., North.
