The weather man having given us the first break in about three weeks, our Annual Dinner meeting got under way in most favorable circumstances on the afternoon of June 5. As in many past years we were most fortunate in being guests at the home of Dr. DouglasVanderHoof '01 on Cary Street Road in Richmond.

With close to fifty men in attendance, a near record for Virginia, the party started in the late afternoon with a swim in the pool for the more daring and pleasant chatter on the lawn for the remaining. A delicious dinner was served about 6:30 which surpassed anything we had tasted since the one at last year's party.

An attractive evening of entertainment was highlighted again this year by more of that well-known harmony from the Washington Quartet led by Church Grant '39,. We had them on the program several times during the course of the evening and couldn't get enough of them! We also had some excellent accordion music from the son of Capt. Paul J.Halloran '19, U.S.N.

The showing of the film, "Hanover-1947" was met with general acclaim as being the best yet from Hanover.

After brief reports by the retiring officers and our Alumni Councilor Charlie Weston '18, a short business meeting ended with the election of Bill King '33, as president; ChickThompson '36, as vice-president; and HenryStern '46, as sec'y-treasurer for the coming year.
