The annual outing was held last June at the Gloucester Country Club. In spite of a cold evening, a great time was enjoyed by the group. Better plan to be there next spring.
This fall the monthly luncheons have been switched to the University Club, with all facilities of the Club made available to our membership on luncheon days. The first luncheon was held on October 9, with Charles Gilson '21 as the speaker. Charley was in China when the Communists took over, and his description was most enlightening.
The November luncheon was held on the 12th, with Ralph Burgard '49 as the speaker. Ralph is manager of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra, and gave some interesting sidelights on his work.
The next luncheon will be the "Undergraduate Luncheon" held during the Christmas vacation, with a large turnout expected. If you are near Providence that day, drop in. You will enjoy it.
