off-the-rec A meeting of the Dartmouth College alumni of Rio de Janeiro was held at the home of Stewart G. Anderson '34 on June 12. Those present included, in addition to Stewart G. Anderson, the following Dartmouth men who are at present actively engaged in business enterprises and with the military in this capital city of Brazil: Matthew E. Gately '13, Franklin F. Doten '23, Robert A. Winger '33, Grant Healey '34, Harry C. Townsend '31, Richard I. Paul '44, Richard P. MonsenJr. '45, and Albert J. Keenan '35. Those not present but who are also living in Rio at this time include Ralph Maynard '31, H. William Hands '35, Benjamin C. Knox '05, Hamilton South '31, and Roger Taylor '34.

Those members who attended the meeting had a pleasant time in renewing old acquaintanceships and partaking of the refreshments served by Mrs. Anderson. It is hoped that in the future these meetings can be held regularly as great interest has been shown by all alumni now located in this part of the hemisphere.
