THE DARTMOUTH SPIRIT of which we have always heard, manifests itself in many ways. So far as the Springfield, Vermont, group is concerned, one of the major manifestations is the enthusiasm with which neighboring alumni flock in whenever we meet, and we hope they will always come.

On the evening of May 27 we held a meeting at Ed Vail's house in Chester. From Rutland came Marsh Wheldon '21, from Brattleboro Judge Harrie B. Chase '12, L. G. Sherman '17, Os Fitts '26, George Mason '43 and John Latchis '37. From Londonderry came Doug Orton '37 and from Windsor Tom Bryne '24, Ed Phelps '29, Leslie Allen '42, ArmandGuarino '42 and Ed Martin '46.

Our own group included Charles Safford '08, Henry Flinn '14, Ray Adams '19, Justin Bugbee '25, Forest Brown '29, Pete Wilcomb '30, Bud Titcomb '36 and Hartness Beardsley '37.

We had an excellent feed of the kind for which Ed Vail is noted. The program was taken up by Whitey Fuller who tried to talk for half an hour, but succeeded in getting away in something under two hours. It was the usual enthusiastic meeting which everyone hated to leave. Whitey gave us a fine evening and every one there is looking forward to the next time we can get together.
