Charles DeAngelis 'OB, Holland Patent, former district attorney of Oneida County, was elected president of the Dartmouth Club of the Mohawk Valley at the annual meeting at the Fort Schuyler, March 29. DeAngelis succeeds another 'OB man, Roland E. Chesley, who becomes a director.

Other officers elected are: First vice president, Ronald Olmstead '32, Holland Patent; second vice president, Earl S. Liberty '28, Utica; treasurer, Joseph Kyser '32, Utica; and secretary, Winthrop Sargeant '45, Utica. Kyser has served as treasurer since the post-war reorganization of the club. Sargeant succeeds Red Boutilier '38, who served as secretary for nearly three years.

Those elected directors are: Gilbert Jones '45 and William S. Colli '45, Utica; and JackUnderhill '46, Remsen. Besides Chesley, directors whose terms did not expire are: James G.Capps '18 and James N. Brown '23, Utica.

Roger S. Brown '45, assistant to the Secretary of Dartmouth College and the principal speaker, gave an overall review of campus activities and discussed the admissions and budget situations.

Following Brown's detailed and interesting discussion of admissions, scholarships, alumni fund campaigns, and athletics, several members asked questions pertaining to an impression they had received that Dartmouth is making an effort to give scholarship priority in its efforts in behalf of the "well-rounded man." The place of alumni sons in the admissions system was also discussed.

All in all, the discussions were very informal and actually showed the intense interest and concern local alumni have for the Dartmouth of their undergraduate days which they are anxious to have preserved in spirit and fundamental principles while progress is marked by the expansion of courses offered, methods of instruction, and physical facilities.

Besides those already mentioned, Francis Jones '14, William Purcell '28, Robert Capps '5l, John Shaw and Olin Smith '43, Robert Bacon '39, Wallace Owens '46, and Ray Bankert '49 attended.
