This book is just what its title implies, a guide written in simple language for boys either in the country or city from nine to six- teen years of age who wish to work in their spare time after school hours, or Saturdays.
The book is divided into three parts. 1. Suggestions for the Boy Who Wants to EarnMoney. Here appearance (neatness and cleanliness), punctuality, honesty and politeness are, among other virtues, emphasized for the seeker of jobs. 2. Job Ideas. This the author calls the most important section of the book. In this part are discussed Service Jobs and Sales Jobs. 3. Job Index. This is the shortest section of the book. Here one can find a description of the job most appealing to the reader, ranging from "baby sitting" to "waxing floors". This is not a book for the college library, but a book for the public library where it will be found very valuable to the young boy readers who are hunting for work.
