Harold Goddard Rugg '06, who has been connected with the Dartmouth College Library since graduation, was named Associate Librarian of the College at the June meeting of the Board of Trustees. He had been Assistant Librarian since 1919, and has held full professorial rank since 1947. Mr. Rugg was appointed Lecturer in Art in 1939 and in 1940 received an honorary Master of Arts degree from Dartmouth. He has served for 41 years as the secretary of the Dartmouth chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and for many years has been a leader in Vermont historical affairs and a well-known collector. Mr. Rugg is Literary Editor of the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE.
