Goose Bay, Labrador

The Dartmouth Club of Goose Bay, Labrador, comprising Sydney Ruggles 'OB and Walter Pendleton '11, is fulfilling its purpose in entertaining Dartmouth men passing through this Air Force outpost.

Commander Nutt '41 and his crew of the Blue Dolphin have called three times, and on July 27 the Club entertained Commander Nutt and the following Dartmouth men in his crew: Richard Backus '44, Edgar Miller '51, James Schwedland '48, Lawrence Coachman '47, Stearns Morse '52, Benjamin Potter '53, John Tangerman '53 and Nicholas Dean '54. On August 16 the Club was entertained on the Blue Dolphin.

Clifford Ewart '42, a pilot stationed at Westover Air Base in Chicopee Falls, Mass., has called several times on trips through Goose Bay to far northern points, and SumnerWillis '10, an expediter for Drake-Merritt, contractor on the base development at Goose Bay, has been up on one of his many expected trips.

The Dartmouth Club of Goose Bay will welcome any Dartmouth men passing through this northern base.
