FOLLOWING their setback at the Dartmouth Winter Carnival meet, Coach Walter Prager's Big Green skiers have come back with a vengeance, capturing on successive weekends the McGill and Middlebury Carnival meets and the Club Hochgebirge's Challenge Cup Meet. In addition to these team victories a number of Big Green stars have figured prominently in other Eastern competition.
On the weekend of Feb. 16-17, 'he Dartmouth skiers swept five of the six events in Montreal to regain the McGill Winter Carnival Cup and bring back to Hanover the championship of the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association. Brooks Dodge repeated his Carnival triumphs by annexing both the downhill and slalom events for a first in the combined, while sophomore Bill Beck took fourth in the downhill and co-captain Colin Stewart took seventh. In the Nordic events, Charlie Tremblay chalked up a first place in the jumping and a sixth in the cross-country, with Stewart third in the jump and Jim Branch seventh. Middlebury finished second in the meet, with New Hampshire third and McGill fourth.
