DARTMOUTH'S 182nd Commencement will be held on Sunday, June 17, climaxing a weekend that will see the traditional return of the 50-Year and 25-Year Classes to the campus for reunions. Other alumni classes joining 1901 and 1926 in Hanover for the June 15-17 weekend will be 1886, 1891, and 1896.

The program for Friday, June 15, will include Class Day exercises for the graduating class, class reunion banquets, concerts by the Band and Glee Club, the President's Reception, and a senior and alumni dance. Saturday will be featured by the luncheon meeting of the General Alumni Association, to be attended by alumni, faculty, seniors and their fathers. On this occasion the traditional Fifty-Year Address will be delivered by Robert F. Leavens '01 of Berkeley, Calif. Carleton Blunt '26 of Chicago, president of the General Association, will preside at the meeting in the gym and other speakers will be President Dickey and the newly elected Secretary of the Class of 1951.

A Dartmouth-Boston College baseball game is scheduled for Saturday afternoon, along with College movies and fraternity reunions, and Saturday night's program includes class banquets, movies, a Band concert, and a performance by The Dart- mouth Players.

The combined Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises will be held in the Bema on Sunday morning at 11. Memorial services will be conducted by some of the alumni classes on Sunday, and reunion programs will close with luncheons or afternoon picnics.

The 12th annual Hanover Holiday lecture series will be held between the first and second reunion weekends, opening Monday morning, June 18, with President Dickey's talk as the first of eight devoted to the general theme of "The Defense of Freedom." Morning and evening "classes" will be held Monday through Thursday. In addition to five members of the Dartmouth faculty, lecturers will include Prof. Edward Chase Kirkland '16 of Bowdoin and Justice Amos N. Blandin '18 of the New Hampshire State Supreme Court.

On the second weekend of reunions, June 22-24, the classes returning to Hanover will be 1911, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1941, 1945, 1946 and 1947. The full program for this weekend will appear in next month's issue of the MAGAZINE.
