When Enrique Martinez Celaya arrived for his Montgomery Fellowship in July, he didn't come alone. The Cuban-American painter and sculptor (and trained physicist) traveled from Los Angeles with 10 of his works-in-progress. He spent part of his fellowship finishing the paintings—simultaneously. "What might seem like a logistical challenge- how to have the paintings travel as a set—is in fact an artistic one," he says. Celaya hopes to complete the paintings in time for a London show this fall.
