THIS YEAR for the first time parents of undergraduates and recent graduates are joining Dartmouth alumni to put the Alumni Fund campaign over the top. Solicitation will be conducted by the Dart- mouth Parents Committee for the Alumni Fund primarily as a mail campaign. Dartmouth alumni who are parents of undergraduates will not be approached by this Committee but will contribute to the Fund through regular channels as alumni.
The Parents Committee is headed by Glenn L. Fitkin Sr. of Toledo, Ohio, who has two Dartmouth sons. Other members are: Charles E. Acker, Wallingford, Pa.; William H. Coulson, Washington, D. C.; Andrew A. Fraser, Greenwich, Conn.; Charles B. Johnson, Grosse Pointe, Mich.; Stuart E. Kay, New Rochelle, N. Y.; Laurence T. McCurdy, Wynnewood, Pa.; DeOrmond McLaughry, Norwich, Vt.; Moe Naitove, New York City; Moses J. Neiditz, Flartford, Conn.; Louis Phillips, New York City; Charles J. Queenan Sr., Pittsburgh. Pa.; Frederick G. Richardson, Detroit, Mich.; Thomas J. Swartz, South Orange, N. J.; George A. Wrisley, La Grange, Ill.; and Sherman D. Horton, Minneapolis, Minn.
In accepting the chairmanship, Mr. Fitkin said, "I have a deep respect for the College and the work it is doing. If, as a parent of two recent graduates, I can do anything to assist Dartmouth and strengthen it, I am anxious to do so."
