Last month, in mentioning a new addition of a textbook by Prof. Charles J. Lyon of the Botany Department the title of the book was incorrectly printed. It should have appeared as Flowering Plants and Vegetation. This third edition of Professor Lyon's introduction to field botany contains much new material and two chapters have been entirely rewritten and expanded. Among the many new illustrations are photographs taken by the author.
Brief College Chemistry, by Prof. Leon Burr Richardson '00 and Prof. Andrew J. Scarlett '10, has just been published by Holt and Company in New York. This is a revised edition, largely rewritten, with a new division of chapters, expansion of some topics, and omission of material in previous editions no longer considered pertinent.
Prof. Francois Denoeu is the author of Fluent French, a complete practical course for the second year. It has just been published by D. C. Heath & Co.
Hague's Domain Revisited, by Prof. Dayton D. McKean, appears in the March issue of The National Municipal Review.
Radhakrishnan, Comparative Studies inPhilosophy Presented in Honor of his Six-tieth Birthday (Allen and Unwin, 1951) contains an essay written by Prof. Wing-tsit Chan entitled The Unity of East and West.
Prof. Elmer Harp, Jr. is the author of AnArchaeological Survey in the Strait of BelleIsle Area, reprinted from the January issue of American Antiquity.
Experimental Miliaria in Man, by Dr. Walter B. Shelley, a former instructor in the Dartmouth Medical School, appears in the January issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. This paper is the result of research in dermatology under grants from the Hitchcock Foundation and other agencies while Dr. Shelley was in Hanover.
Quantitative Studies of Electrical Conductivityof the Peripheral Body Segments by Doctors Jan Nyboer, Marian M. Kreider and Leonard Hannapel '46 has been reprinted from the January number of Annals of WesternMedicine and Surgery.
Prof. Vernon Hall, Jr., is the author of Joyce's Use of Da Ponte and Mozart's DonGiovanni, in March issue of The ModernLanguage Association Publications.
