Last month, in mentioning a new addition of a textbook by Prof. Charles J. Lyon of the Botany Department the title of the book was incorrectly printed. It should have appeared as Flowering Plants and Vegetation. This third edition of Professor Lyon's introduction to field botany contains much new material and two chapters have been entirely rewritten and expanded. Among the many new illustrations are photographs taken by the author.
Brief College Chemistry, by Prof. Leon Burr Richardson '00 and Prof. Andrew J. Scarlett '10, has just been published by Holt and Company in New York. This is a revised edition, largely rewritten, with a new division of chapters, expansion of some topics, and omission of material in previous editions no longer considered pertinent.

Experimental Miliaria in Man, by Dr. Walter B. Shelley, a former instructor in the Dartmouth Medical School, appears in the January issue of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. This paper is the result of research in dermatology under grants from the Hitchcock Foundation and other agencies while Dr. Shelley was in Hanover.
