Coach Red Hoehn is leading a group of hopefuls on a peregrination through the middle south that will take them as far as North Carolina, where they hope to make great strides in competition. Cap- tain Joe Welch is the only letterman on the squad, with Mendy Balkins a south- paw who saw considerable service last year. Bill Randall also played last year with the Jayvees and should step into a regular varsity berth this season. Bill Crotty was the leading freshman per- former last year, and he will also be strongly competing for a place in the sun. Chuck Kettering, Ardie Epanian, Bob Porges, Doc Dey, and Don Brown com- prised the balance of the squad that made the spring trip. In the absence of many experienced operatives, this year's team is still very much in the developmental stage at this writing.
